SuperSwitch 2 for Networking Multiple PCs
Network three to five PCs at higher speeds and lower costs

SuperSwitch 2, an industry-first PCI Express-over-cable networking
solution for three to five PCs, enabling data transfers at speeds up
to 20Gb/s. SuperSwitch 2 includes one PCI Express (PCIe) x4 mezzanine
cable adapter (HIB5), up to four PCIe x4 cable adapters (HIB4) and PCIe
cables up to 7 meters.
SuperSwitch 2 is used in many applications such as medical imaging, server farms,
instrumentation, video and other applications requiring large amounts of data
transfers from one processor to another.
One Stop Systems' exclusive ExpressNet software suite allows direct data transfers
as well as TCP/IP transfers between multiple processors. The software drivers
initialize memory address translation registers in the non-transparent bridge
components that allow data to be transferred from one CPU's memory to another.
With TCP/IP added, the interface is identical to a normal Ethernet port, except
much faster. In addition to driver support, ExpressNet software handles hot-swap
events and other networking functions. Currently, ExpressNet software support
is available for Linux and Windows, with additional OS support following.

that of One Stop Systems' PCIe solutions. Ethernet and Infiniband also require
bus-to-bus conversions creating increased latencies."
