Express (PCIe) x1 ExpressCard cable
adapter, enabling laptops to operate with high-speed expansion
capabilities. The x1 ExpressCard provides cable connectivity
from a laptop to any device with a PCIe x1 cable connector
such as desktop storage devices, video monitors and add-in
board expansion boxes.
OEMs include the x1 ExpressCard in their
prepackaged systems to provide the added flexibility of laptop
access to their products. Laptop providers include the x1 ExpressCard
as an option to their product to allow use with many PCIe x1
devices now on the market. No additional drivers are required
for the x1 ExpressCard.
