John Reardon, Member, Board of Directors
John Reardon is the Founder of The RTC Group. The RTC Group is
a marketing services company devoted to serving the embedded and
real-time markets. John founded the company on the premise of developing
high quality – low cost leads for the embedded space. The
RTC Group currently produces events on five continents and publishes
technical journals distributed in 17 countries. The RTC Group also
creates custom events for clients like Intel, Microsoft, Wind River
Systems, Hitachi, and MontaVista, to name a few. John serves on
a number of Boards, including a Dutch corporation, which he founded
in 1994, Active Exhibitions and One Stop Systems.
David Flowers, Member, Board of Directors
David R. Flowers served as chairman and CEO of Pulse Engineering
Inc.; a $100 million, San Diego based, NASDAQ traded Electronics
Company providing components and modules for advanced digital
communications. He was with Pulse Engineering for 20 years.
David’s strong interest in corporate governance lead to
his co-founding of the International Forum for Corporate Directors
(now Corporate Director’s Forum) and the ChairmensRoundTable.
In 2000 he was named corporate director of the year. He was also
a co-founder of the Chairmens Round Table (CRT), a “no-fee” organization
of former CEOs helping San Diego companies with strategic issues.
David has been an “Angel” investor and regularly helps
to advise emerging companies with which he is involved. He has
invested in 21 Southern California companies. David has been on
One Stop Systems board since May, 2000, serving on the audit and
compensation committees.
Bill Carpenter, Member, Board of Directors
Bill Carpenter served as CEO for TEAL Electronics, a San Diego-based
company, for 13 years, which grew to $20 million in revenue under
his leadership, selling large custom power subsystems. He received
an engineering degree from Princeton and an MBA from Stanford. He
recently served as Interim CEO of two companies, Voyager Systems
and DriveCam Video Systems. He currently serves on the boards of
three other high technology companies. In addition, Bill serves on
the boards of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels, San Diego Social Venture
Partners, and San Diego Telecom Council.
Ken Potashner, Member, Board of Directors
Ken Potashner’s extensive career in the computer industry includes
President/CEO/Chairman of SONICblue, a leader in products for the
digital media, entertainment, and consumer electronics markets where
leading MP3 players and DVRs were brought to market . He also served
as President/CEO/Chairman of Maxwell Technologies, where he and his
team successfully turned around the company in 1997 while transitioning
it from a defense focus to a commercial focus, evidenced by a substantial
increase in market capitalization. Prior to leading Maxwell Technologies,
Mr. Potashner was executive vice president and general manager of
Conner Peripherals Disk Drive Operations, where he helped the company
become a leading supplier of hard drives. He also worked in management
at Quantum, DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation), and Texas Instruments.
Mr Potashner currently serves on the board of several companies including
Newport Corporation, V-audit, HouseRebate.com, and Anycomm Corp.
He is an advisor and investor in several other corporations. Mr.
Potashner received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
at Lafayette College and a masters’ degree in electrical
engineering from Southern Methodist University.
