One Stop Systems' MAX Express CompactPCI Express dual Gigabit
Ethernet board features a native PCI Express (PCIe) x4-to-Ethernet
controller, providing 10Gbs/sec each direction throughput without
the necessity of an external bridge, thus reducing latency and
increasing throughput.
The MAX Express CompactPCI Express Ethernet board features the
Intel 82571EB dual Gigabit Ethernet controller which offers two
fully integrated Gigabit Ethernet media access control (MAC)
and physical layer (PHY) ports. The CPCIe Type 2 board provides
a PCIe x4 interface to the backplane and two RJ-45 ports on the
front panel that allow standard 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces.
The board may be configured in either a 3U or 6U form factor
and is RoHS compliant. Hot swap and non-hot swap versions are
available.
This is the first CompactPCI Express x4 add-in board on the market
and offers designers a huge step-up in designing and testing
their own CompactPCI Express systems and components. One Stop
Systems is designing and manufacturing a number of additional
CPCIe add-in boards that be introducing in the coming months.
