The CPCI-64 Hot Swap Extender, can be used in any 3U 32 or 64-bit CompactPCI compatible systems. This Hot Swap Extender is designed to isolate all the voltages and the signals between the CompactPCI motherboard and the UUT, while the system power stays on. This isolation can be accomplished by either using the on-board mechanical On-Off switch or via remote control. This feature eliminates the requirement for power cycling the system and repeated rebooting during the test and characterization process. The CPCI-64 Hot Swap Extender expedites the test and characterization as well as reducing the chance of the system failure due to repeated power cycling.
