The CPCI-64 Hot Swap Extender, can be used in any 3U 32 or 64-bit CompactPCI compatible systems. This isolation can be accomplished by either using the on-board mechanical On-Off switch or via remote control. This feature eliminates the requirement for power cycling the system and repeated rebooting during the test and characterization process. The CPCI-64 Hot Swap Extender expedites the test and characterization as well as reducing the chance of the system failure due to repeated power cycling.
