The One Stop Systems 6U extender board with support rails provides ease of use with high performance and controlled impedance. The extender board features a front panel equipped with CompactPCI insertion and extraction handles, providing a reliable way to insert the test unit. The front panel extractor handle is easily accessible. The extra length of the extender card allows external probing of all signals while adjacent cards are installed. A grounded rail system guides the card and allows the test unit to be removed with extractor handles. The card rails are not fused in order to avoid impedance spikes adn maintain the highest integrity. Stiffener brackets accommodate vertical and horizontal orientaiton by creating a stiffened structure which can support up to 20 pounds.

While the extender card exceeds CompactPCI specifications for trace lengths, the impedance control system maintains a high level of signal integrity.
