One Stop Systems' 6U hot-swappable CompactPCI-based system monitor features transition module monitors, and controls critical
system parameters. It provides an internet-based graphical user
interface, 'SysMonWare', allowing the technician to view all
system functions remotely. 'SysMon’ is the most sophisticated
system monitor available, enabling the service provider to track
all vital parameters of their CompactPCI system. Service providers
can monitor functions remotely, and even remotely reset the system
if needed. ‘SysMon’ is a significant technological
advancement in system monitoring and provides a benchmark in future
monitoring requirements. ‘SysMon’ and ‘SysMonWare’ are
perfect for telecom, datacom, ISP and wireless server applications,
where monitoring of critical system parameters is required.
SysMon’ monitors 6 points of enclosure temperature,
fan rotation, DC voltage levels, CPU activity, blower speed and
the number of functioning boards in the system. The transition
module provides the interface to all the I/O including fans,
blowers, temperature sensors, switches, relay, and RJ-45. Up
to 6 temperature sensors can be monitored. 3.3V (and less), 5V,
12V, and –12V voltage levels are monitored. Blower operation
of up to three blowers is determined by temperature differential.
Blower speed, for reliability and less noise, is also controlled
with the system monitor. The blowers can run at full speed, half
speed or off. Tachometer monitoring checks RPMs of up to 8 fans
or blowers. The CPU heartbeat is monitored by software watch
dog.
‘SysMonWare’ utilizes a Java-based application to monitor
system functions through a graphical user interface. The software/hardware
interface allows simultaneous monitoring of up to 120 systems via
a single IP address. Individual gauges can be disabled/enabled, configured
to trip an alarm, and selected to send an email alert. A single gauge
can be enlarged to full screen. A single global alarm indicates whether
an alarm is in progress on any of the connected systems. The global
alarm can also be selected to cover the entire application area making
it possible to monitor an even greater number of systems from a single
console.
‘SysMon’ is equipped with front panel LEDs for critical,
major and minor alarms, and a front panel audio alarm with cut-off
switch. Notification of failure is made via Ethernet to e-mail. ‘SysMonWare’ shows
the operational data being monitored via meters and bars. One
Stop Systems also includes a battery back-up alarm for power
loss conditions.
