One Stop Systems' Max Express development systems are the first
of their kind designed for CompactPCI Express (CPCIe). These driverless,
high bandwidth platforms ensure an efficient, economical solution
for developing and testing boards. CompactPCI Express development
platforms are ideal for developers in video, call center, high
speed communication, defense, and industrial I/O applications.
The
8U and 5U CompactPCI Express/CompactPCI platforms include a 14-slot
hybrid backplane and redundant 200W power supplies in a 19” rackmount
chassis. A switch board and bridge board are also included. Each
platform also includes expansion components that allow use from
a remote PC.
One Stop Systems’ development platforms provide robust
systems that are easy-to-use by simply installing the PCI Express
adapter card into any PCIe x4 or greater slot in a host PC. This
means that the developer can have a working platform without
the added expense of a processor board. This can be a tremendous
cost savings in producing early boards. In addition, these platforms
provide a variety of slots, further saving on the number of systems
necessary to bring boards to market. Developers will find these
platforms invaluable in their R&D efforts.
CPCIe Switch Board
The MAX Express switch board
provides fan-out to CPCIe peripheral slots in a PICMG EXP.0-compliant
backplane. The switch board supports one upstream CPCIe master
slot and six downstream CPCIe peripheral slots. A face plate connector
provides downstream cable connection to other PCIe devices or to
an expansion chassis utilizing a PCIe cable interface.
CPCIe Bridge Board
The MAX Express bridge board provides
PCIe-to-PCI, eliminating the need for active bridge components on the
backplane.
CPCIe Expansion Link Board
The MAX Express expansion link
board (ELB) installs into the system slot in an EXP.0 backplane The ELB
is the downstream link board and the primary fan-out switch to support
multiple configurations of CPCIe expansion slots.
PCIe Host Interface Board
The MAX Express host interface board
(HIB) expands a PCI Express (PCIe) x4 slot in a host PC to additional PCIe
slots by extending the host bus over a high speed PCI-SIG specified data cable.
This cable connects to a One Stop Systems’ expansion
chassis or rack mounted PCIe switch at speeds up to 10Gbps. The
HIB installs in a x4, x8 or x16 slot of a PCIe backplane or a
PCIe motherboard or upstream backplane. A PCIe x4 cable extends
the PCIe bus to the expansion link board in the system slot of
the downstream backplane.
PCIe Cables

from .5 meter to 7 meters.
