The power supply backplane is designed for use with a modular 6U
power supply that furnishes voltages suitable for the CompactPCI
architecture. The backplane will accept up to a 500W modular power
supply. It accepts either AC or DC current through the ATX-style
input connector. Three ATX-style connectors can be used for distribution
of power to modular CompactPCI backplanes. Several rows of power
terminals are provided for use when large supply currents are required.

Terminals can be used to connect a DC supply
when the power supply is capable of accepting DC input. DC+
and DC- are connectoed to AC Line and AC nuetral respectively. |
| Local and Remote Voltage Sensing |
The P38 connector provides voltage sensing
for +5V, +3.3V, and +12V. Voltage sensing accomplished through:
ATX connector sensing, 16-pin control header sensing and
a local 2x4 pin sense header. |
