Backplane Power Connections The OSS-EBP-2002 offers several power connector options to meet a variety of system design requirements. The +12V power connector is common to all BPX3/8 backplanes. The +12V connector provides additional power to SHB connector C for those system host boards utilizing high performance microprocessors. Other power connector options available on the BPX3/8 include:
  ATX
  EPS
  Screw terminals for extended-current connections
The extended-current connector option provides a typical current capacity of 120 Amps on the +5 volt input lines.
Mounting Hole Patterns The OSS-MAX-BPe-11 backplane supports the PICMG 1.3 13-slot backplane recommended hole pattern
Power Indicators The power indicators provide a convenient visual check for +5V, -5V, +12V, -12V and +3.3V power connections. Both SHB's only require +5, +12 and +3.3 voltage levels.
Backplane I/O Connections Backplane I/O connections are available for use with SHB Express system host boards. The OSS-MAX-BPe-11 offers the following I/O connections:
  USB 2.0 (four ports)
  10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet (one port)
Not all system host boards support all SHB Express backplane I/O options. OSS' SHBs provide optional support for USB backplane I/O. Consult with your SHB vendor for supported backplane I/O options.
