One Stop Systems Announces the ioMillennia Rugged NAND Flash Disk Array with the Highest Storage Performance and Highest Density Available on the Market Today

  • High performance with 320Gb/s PCIe host links and storage speeds of 24GB/s
  • High capacity and high density with over 160TB in a 3U, 19" rack mount form factor
  • Optimized for rugged, light-weight, low-power government applications

ESCONDIDO, Calif., November 10, 2011 – One Stop Systems, Inc. (OSS), a leader in PCIe over cable expansion and computing solutions, is now shipping the 3U ioMillennia NAND flash disk array. The newest member of the One Stop Systems ioMillennia product line provides unprecedented, high performance storage capabilities in a rugged, light weight, high density chassis. The flash disk array is particularly suited to government applications requiring optimized size, weight and power (SWaP). The 3U, 19" rackmount enclosure consists of rugged, light-weight aluminum construction. This allows for industry leading storage capacity at speeds up to 24GB/s, higher than any other disk array available today. The chassis features four hot-swappable canisters each with four double-wide PCIe x16 Gen 2 slots, four redundant 1100W power supplies, ample cooling and system monitoring. Scalability ranges from 5TB to 160TB of non-volatile flash capacity in a 3U footprint.

"One Stop Systems' commitment to cutting edge technology has never been more evident than with this powerful chassis," says Steve Cooper, CEO of OSS. "We were the first to develop high performance PCIe over cable products and this latest expansion chassis is perfect for HPC applications allowing servers to access critical data at the fastest speeds available today."

The 3U ioMillennia Appliance, built and sold by One Stop Systems, connects to the PCIe bus in up to four host servers. This allows data to stream between the servers and the ioMillennia appliance without software conversions, added latency and throughput overhead associated with Fiber Channel, Ethernet and Infiniband. This streamlined architecture makes simple block storage transfers to the ioDrives of up to 800 times faster than data transfers to SATA/SAS disk drives.

The 3U ioMillennia can be connected to up to four host systems with the One Stop Systems PCIe x16 Gen 2 host adapter cards and corresponding PCIe x16 cable. Customers can order the appliances integrated with a combination of Fusion ioDrives or as a barebones enclosure. The 5TB ioMillennia with 16 Fusion-io™ ioDrives lists for $115,900. All products and various configurations are available immediately.
