One Stop Systems Introduces Family of NEBS-Certified Servers
- 1U and 3U servers use Intel® Nehalem™-based server boards

ESCONDIDO, Calif., November 13, 2009 – One Stop Systems, Inc. (OSS), a manufacturer of computer modules and systems and first to market with Direct AttachedTM (PCI Express over cable) adapters and expansion products, announces the introduction of its telecom-certified servers for the Central Office and data centers. OSS’ 1U and 3U servers are built on latest-technology Intel® server boards using two Intel® quad core “Nehalem™” processors and supporting 96GB DRAM. The 8U CPCIe/CPCI server includes a CompactPCI Express CPU board and supports both CompactPCI and CompactPCI Express I/O boards. The 1U RAID array supports four SATA/SAS drives and has a PCIe connection to its host server at 10Gb/s. All products have been certified to NEBS Level 3, making them suitable for Central Office environment applications and insuring quality and durability for data center applications.

1U and 3U Servers
Two configurations of the 1U server support either two or five drives with an internal RAID 0/1/10. Both versions offer dual Intel® Xeon® 5500-series (Nehalem™) processors. Both servers support PCIe and/or Infiniband connectivity. In addition, the PCIe x16 slot can be used for PCIe expansion. This adds a number of high-speed I/O cards like GPU (graphical processing unit) boards or SSD (solid state drive) boards to the server. The system provides ample power and cooling in a rugged rackmount chassis only 21” deep.
The 3U server also employs Intel® 5500-series (Nehalem™) processors. It provides one hot swappable hard drive shuttle and one internal mounting for a 2-1/2” SSD or hard disk drive. The server supports two PCIe x16 add-in cards in addition to several other I/O cards. The system is equipped with dual, redundant 500 watt power supplies, with either AC or DC input.
The 8U server
The 8U server supports both CompactPCI Express and CompactPCI add-in boards. This rugged rackmount chassis provides superior power and cooling for up to 17 boards. The dual core CPU board supports XMC and PMC modules and is equipped with four 1Gb Ethernet ports. With hot swappable, redundant fans, power supplies, and boards, the 8U server meets the criteria of Central Office environments.
1U RAID Array
The 1U RAID array supports four SATA/SAS hard disk drives and connects to the host server through a PCIe x4 cable at 10Gb/s. The rugged rackmount chassis is only 21” deep, aligning with the OSS servers in the rack. The NEBS certification makes it ideal for Central Office environments.
Pricing and availability
Prices for all the servers vary widely based on the configuration. The 1U server supporting 2 drives starts at $2,995 list. The 3U server starts at $3,695. The 8U with the CPCIe/CPCI backplane starts at $10,495. The 1U RAID array lists for $2,895 without drives. OEM quantities can be quoted upon request.
