The Core Duo™ system host board is a graphics-class, PICMG 1.3-compatible SHB designed to maximize processing-power-per-watt efficiency. The SHB's feature set includes integrated RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 implementation via four SATA II/300 ports (allowing up to four independent SATA storage devices), dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with one 10/100/1000Base-T backplane interface, and dual channel DDR2-667 memory up to 4GB. The SHB offers a 32-bit/33MHz PCI interface. One PCI Express x16 link on edge connectors A and B supports PCI Express video/graphics cards on an SHB Express backplane. Connectors A and B also support one PCI Express x4 link and five PCI Express reference clocks. The SHB also provides eight USB 2.0 interfaces, two on the I/O bracket, four as header connectors on the board itself, and two more that can be routed to edge connector C for use on a PICMG 1.3 backplane. This low-power, efficient board, part of the Max Express™ product line, is available with one or two Core Duo processors and easily accommodates a wide range of system option cards, from the latest x16 PCI Express video cards to legacy 32-bit/33MHz PCI cards. The Intel 945G MCH and ICH7R ICH chipsets deliver advanced dual-core SHB capabilities to easily handle the most demanding applications.
