In 2018, OSS acquired Concept Development, Inc. (CDI), integrating specialized expertise in aerospace design and military-grade manufacturing. Based in Escondido, CDI enhanced the AI Transportable strategy with FAA-certified repair operations and AS9100 quality standards. Their engineering capabilities expanded OSS' footprint in flight safety, power distribution, and airborne system certification.
In 2016, OSS merged with Magma to unite leaders in PCIe expansion and GPU-accelerated computing. This partnership established OSS as a pioneer in the AI Transportable market, fueling the development of AI on the Fly™ technologies like the ExpressBox and rugged storage arrays. Today, the Magma legacy ensures high-performance quality and innovation across commercial and defense sectors.
